I am using IE6. If I browse to certain sites(ex. www.google.com or www.yahoo.com) the browser loads RoyalSearch.net. I ran a virus scanner but it did'nt fix the problem. This sucks becuase I cannot access some popular sites. Does anyone know a fix for this?
Thanks

yeah, do what Jas said. But backup the registry before you do anything.

Ace Utilities is good for cleaning up your registry. You can also download that from download.com
It scans your registry against a database of rogue registry enteries, and removes them (the ones you chose it to remove). It backs everything up, so you can restore it if you need to. Still best to keep a seperate backup of your registry before you start editing it.
It also cleans your registry of any traces of programs that aren't on your computer anymore, or links to files that have been deleted... etc.
I find it useful.

in DOS there is a nifty program called fdisk with a cool option -s
try that I think they mad it just for removing things like that, NO wait use regedit ya that's it, when it opens you can do a find type thing from one of the menus and search for RoyalSearch.net.
To open regedit go to start run and type regedit press enter.
You can screw up a lot of stuff in there so be really careful. If you think that is too risky go here: http://lavasoft.element5.com/support/download/#free
and download ad aware.
