a guy's currently offering me a job - make a php/mysql cms for him..
it wont be that hard to make, but it'll take some time..and my trouble is...he said that i'd get paid when the site is made and revenue is made...
so basically, i'll be like a staff of their site, which i dont really want to be..
should i accept the job? or just let it go?

Since your only 13 I don't think you can techinally work somewhere (unless it's for family or something). I would advise you to just design webpages for family/friends...it won't be great money, but hey you're young. It will help build your portfolio/web skills.
Other than that, just enjoy the freedom of being young. You'll be working for the rest of your life...or at least until you're too old to enjoy yourself :)

MTsoul - my strong recommendation here is to pause and think long and hard.
As a father of a 10 yr old girl I am petrified of knock-on effects of internet meetings like this - sure this may be innocent, but no harm to have your eyes wide open.
Speaking as a businessman, he's sh@fting you.
1. You don't say where you are based, but professional work should be paid into a trust fund until you are 16 or 18 or 21 (depends on fund).
2. You are going to be a LOT cheaper than if he went to a professional agency
3. What arrangements are in place to define when the project is finished and monies payable? - if the project's not finished you don't get any money.
4. What arrangements are in place to prove that a revenue stream has been created from this project (trust me, I've been bitten on this one :m: it's too easy to hide it on paper)- no revenue income, you don't get any money
5. Is there a contract available - I doubt it.
6. I would never, under any circumstance hire a freelance that a)was underage, b)relatively inexperienced and c)cheap. I am suspicious of the reasons why this guy would.
Being able to add this project to your CV is not, in my view, a big enough reason to risk the above. Much more likely is that you will do the work (assuming there's nothing sinister), he will get a pot of money and you will get none; and you still won't have MX2004.
Go out and pick up small jobs from people you know - $50 here, $75 there and save and learn and save and learn.
Boring, yes. Safe, yes. In your long term interest? - definitely. :)

Defenetly pass,
Or ask for half of what he promised to pay you in the future. And the other half later, but sounds friggin fishy to me, I would only do it, once I got some of his money in my pocket.

according to u
he said that i'd get paid when the site is made and revenue is made...
so basically, i'll be like a staff of their site, which i dont really want to be..
i would have never said yes to this type of project and i hope u say no too, i'd rather update my skills, learn new stuff or even spam at kirupa :p hahaha, but not this type of project...

You're providing a service. I.e. building a site. It should be up to him to have done the study of what was required to make revenue, and provide a spec based on what would work. Its then up to you to build to that spec. If the payment is based on renenue they go with that only if you take a percentage of all revenue as you forgo an initial payment for evectivally royalties. I doubt mainstream companies would venture into this sort of contract
