I've got a problem. When I upload a file via WS_FTP, and try to view it in IE, a 403 error (access denied) comes. What is the reason for this and how can I rectify the problem?

my guess is that you aren't uploading to the right folder on your
server for it to show at the address you requested.

When I open the page, a 403 error comes, but if i go to http://www.radicaljugnu.frandt.com/index.html, then a 404 error comes. I uploaded using WS_FTP, and the FR&T file manager is displaying the file. So what is wrong? I tried asking the fr&t guys, but they didn't answer.

it seems like there is a CHMOD on the file or directory, since 403 is "forbidden." if you can CHMOD with WS_FTP, try putting it to 644 and see if that works.

Those are the "bugs" you spend days wondering about, and in the end, you feel stupid ;)
(i was trying to upload stuff and never could,
coz somehow -i didn't touch it- the connection type
got changed to html instead of ftp in Cute FTP..
even mailed the host etc.. funny!!)
