Er, just a question but is it normal for spybot to lock up halfway through a scan (always at C2.lop), or when I try to download the updates?
Sorry, but I'm having some major pain in the arse problems. All help appriciated.

it freezes, but it continues scanning; just let it go...
usually completes in 10-15 minutes

Yeah... It may seem like it's freezing up.. But it really isn't.. And the only spyware that gets installed from spybot is a very minute amount...
It's smaller than the amount that's left behind by Ad-Aware.

i had this problem, i believe if you go to spybots FAQ page there is an FAQ relating to this problem. You have to go to the prefernces i think and tell it NOT to scan for c2.lop.
C2.lop is actually some kind of virus i think, it messes with low level stuff like your media links. I even tried undoing it with Norton antivirus but it could only isolate it..i could not remove it.
