Logo... help!

Okay... im trying to make a logo, but it's hard as most of you probably already know. Maybe you guys could help me out with some ideas. So the logo should have something to do with like ascension... (not ascension day, not god or something like that) but kinda that theme. Heavenly of some sort.. im out of ideas! Please help, thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, what program(s) do you guys use for making logos? Freehand, illustrator? photoshop?

i always use illustrator. Photoshop if you want to make a funky version of the logo for promotional reasons, but you should always have a vector logo to use for coporate id.

Things that come to mind that are heavenly are Gates (not the microsoft one , lol ) Wings, Angels, horns?(musical instrument) Lighting strobe ..... thats should get you started, some advice, get a big peice of paper, and just write down anything in your head, even if it seems stupid. just write down, writing can help warm up your brain, "brainstorm!!!"

halo, a halo around the initials of your company? hm just a thought. i like to keep my logos simple :)

Can't you give us some more information about the purpose of the logo? Is it for a company, for your local church paper,... I mean, that could help too. :P

Yeah its for a company, me and my friend are starting one, and it's about graphics mostly (3dmax stuff). Trying to like help people do stuff... doing stuff ourselves like animations, games and so on...

btw, hsadan.. a halo is that like a circle or something? Tried to search on google but all i could find was pics of the game halo :P

Yeah, I guess so. It's the yellow circle thingy you see around Saints' heads and stuff. And the local church paper was a joke, but I didn't add a smiley face coz I was afraid you might actually BE making something for your church paper, and I would be insulting you :beam:

well u could replace what would be the angel's body with your initials or something...giving the letters wings and a halo to be more specific.

what is the name of the company....target audience...designated colors?.....Is there a website?...these are the things I would need to know.... I may have something for you if the client rejects a logo proposal I submitted. I would be glad to let have it for a lil recognition of course. But I will not know till like tomorrow.
