Is this site real or what? Someone put an awful lot of work for this for it to be a hoax.

I wonder how many MB's the desktop wallpaper is. I would find working on of those types of monitors a little annoying...too much moving head from one side to another to see what is going on. But that's me though :beam:

Yeah, that's all well and good, but is the company real or not? It was featured on forbes online and then removed.

lol!
we used to say that about 17" monitors... you had to move your head from side to side to read a page of text...
a buddy tried to "give" me his 21" CRT... I think it would take up 1/2 of my apt!

hmm, I remember some firm selling modular flatscreen monitors. you could hook them up to form various screen sizes.
like 2x2, 2x3, 5x2 etc...

Awligon - I would presume the company is real. After all, how difficult can it be to mesh 4 monitors together? :q:
awligon
October 7th, 2003, 04:25 PM
yeah but they were listed on forbes and then taken off because of suspicions, and there's a ton of other things...
http://plex.us/outbursts/liebermann.html
I really don't understand what's going on here. A lot of work went into that site, even if it is a blatent apple rip off.

didn't see that above link-if it is a hoax-wow
I've seen those monitors b4 under the "cinerama' name and not the liebermann name...
cross checked w/google and there is enough reference to them under the current name and variants to suggest they are very much for real
probably a merge/buy-out/name change somewhere down the line to explain the power behind such a new company (?)

Wow. I hope its real, just like every other type that has been posted. The intereactive/holograph ones, the one that surrounds you like a massive helemet, etc.

Look, the f'ing monitor is real. You can buy one, or ten, or twenty. I'm talking about the company website I listed. It seems to be a hoax that fooled forbes. This is like talking to a wall.:a: :a: :a:

I give up....
This thread's been...
On that note, I've got this lcd 15" that I like but I've got a big desk and working at 1024 is taking my life so I'm going to buy a couple of used 19" 16x12's and hook it up. Question is, can I just buy an extra cheapo pci video card and then switch to twin view or do I have to have one vid card w/ dual outs?
Marz
October 7th, 2003, 11:14 PM
One vid with dual outs.. LEss hardware support then and faster load times with windows :)

Umm.. Well... You could gte a seconday vid card that pretty much sucks for probably $0 anywhere... But then if you ever wanted to play games on het monitor r anything for that matter really.. it would suck *** literally.. So.. No use anyways...
But hey.. If alls you wnat is a notepad type interface.. then go for it :-D

Well, I want to set up two 19's to photoshop and cin4d and whatnot. It's even hard to flash on 1024 w/o constantly F'ing your panels. So, would my vid card, a sh_tty one and two monitors set up sxs be alright?
