image map COORDS in html

I know this is the wrong place to post, but many more people check this thread. I have a web page due tomorrow night and it has to be written in notepad. We have to use an image map, and I can't figure out how to do the COORDS part of the map. I thought I could just draw guides in PS across the image, and the COORDS would directly relate to the pixel positions given by the guides. Not the case, I got a hotspot to show up in my html, but it's not the right size. I REALLY need someone to help me!
