my new site - layout check

im planning on building this into a full flash site...
what do you think bout the layout?

I like it alot but what jumped out at me is sometimes the grunge goes through the layout and sometimes it does not not. It creates the illusion that sometimes the grunge is on top and sometimes it is below. Maybe reorder your grunge layers. Actually it is kinda cool that it does that. But I like it.

what i mean is, are you just going to vertically and horizontally center it in the middle of the page with a white border around the side?

right now it's too wide for 800x600 but not wide enough for 1024x768

it would still be a full flash site if you used a table to arrange things.

yes im going to align it in center of the page, but with same backgroundcolor... so the site will be completely "grey"... (like
on my splash page) ;)
and for the resolution... anyone uses 800x600 nowadays? :x
its built in 1024x768 but im thinking of a popupwindow...

yes, i think it looks cool, i will stay with that... its like a "whoops, i dropped coffee on the table" effect ^^ but have to rework a bit ;)

if this is going to be your business getter you should shoot for 800x600 but have a option for 1024. 800 is still used by the majority of people so say neilsen statistics. So Sad :(

no its just my personal portfolio, my personal playground if you wish...
i want to put my photographs on it, so it wont be watched by 1 billion people ;)

the default settings for windows xp is 800x600...MOST people never change it/would even know how to change it. look up the stats man. in a way, microsoft dictates how we have to build our webpages...kind of sad really :(

but, since this is just your "playground" you don't have to worry about it :)

I wish it was not true but the stat was something like 85% are on 800x600.

On the issue of a full Flash site, I already posted
a thread today in Flash MX, but didn't get
what I was looking for.
My site is 800 X 524 pix, and when I check it
on a 800 X 600 pc (I use Mac), the size has changed.
and therefore my text is too large, and some of it is not displayed.
Any tips on this?
