toying with this general idea for an antique dealer, wondering about any thoughts and/or suggestions

the nav btns are just thrown in there for now, haven't really thought out how I want to go with them yet

i like the wood around the logo...not too sure about having it on the buttons though...maybe if it was a lighter grained wood?

i have a feeling that owner of the shop will like the wood one better

I think he'll like wood as well but for sure I'll have to 'tone' it down, they're just one of FW's stock wood thrown in for now (two minute job)... but in a way I liked the plainer approach for cleaness sake.

The created size is 800*600 but I think it is shrunk to fit in gif, if you mouse over the lower right corner there should be a maximize btn that appears.....
I'll host it up today on a html

i like the wood feel more as well.

it looks too light overall though, no real contrast-

might want to consider a "plank" of wood running vertical for your navigation, and using those polygons as "inlays" with the links in them...

dark wood plank too- to add contrast

image 2 is more stylish I think.... stream line.. more professional

BobVilla-lol...

yeah I was afraid of once me trying for the wood look that that'd start to happen :sure:

mayhaps the old phart'll make my life easier for me and opt for the more clean-business lookin' approach and let the images of the antiques 'say old' rather than the interface saying it

...getting good wood is getting harder these days ...:!:...oops
