could anyone tell me how to turn anti aliasing off in photoshop 7

you mean for the tools (wand, line...) right?

on the top of your screen should be a tool options menu, and there you might find the anti-aliasing check box.

yes, each individual tool has its own anti-alising setting, so you have to turn it off on every tool, there is no place to do them all.
