Background Transparency help!!

Hi,

I'm looking to use some jpeg's as characters in my flash movie, but I don't want the original background to be shown, I just want to make it transparent so it looks like the picture is "in the movie" if that makes sense.

Is there any way to do that? I use photoshop, so if I can do it in that program, please let me know. :)

Just hide the background inside photoshop, and save as a png :)

inside flash, open the library and go to the properties of yer png (after importing), and make sure it's set to lossless/png, and not jpg quality...
