The background definitely looks exactly like Bryce. But if that horse was done in Bryce.. then WOW! Bryce is a pain when it comes to drawing your own stuff. I hated bryce.

Devil if you are using Bryce then you're a 3D god, I've worked with bryce before and haven't even attempted to make anything else besides landscapes. Just thinking about making something other than that makes me wish I never got the program. I also heard theres a plugin for bryce that makes it easier to create other forms easier, im not sure if thats what you're using.

And Lost, you're hilarious!! you sure put him on the spot with that one. I gotta see this. :P

Devil , did u use Poser for the human images and somehow export /apply a water or glass filter to get the translucense. although the image looks nice I feel if you could model the girl from scratch to that degree , she wouldn't feel so stiff.
Poser has a ton of excellent models that can be manipulated but still retain a
"mannequin-esque" quality.

Poser models don't have to look lifeless. It's all in the posing. :)

I did this using poser models, and I think they look fairly lively, though far from photo-realistic.

And this was with poser 3. I hear the newest versions come complete with facial expressions and everything!

I agree with you on the posing aspect of using pre-fab models.
and its apparent you understand the physics of it by your artwork.
devil's image is quite rigid, just an observation that perhaps he borrowed
from pre-existing art since he's holding his method hostage till we hand over 300 posts.

What the hell is that Devil? Until my simple demands are met? What is your problem and why the hell do you think your so high and mighty that you have to have demands met to tell something. You are OK with your pics, but your certainly not near the best. I don't see why, at a helpful forum, you choose to make "demands." And then you have the nerve to ask someone else for help? I made that dragon using Cinema 4D which is the only 3D program I'm okay at. I use Bryce as well, but I'm not that good. :-\

devil didn't do anything special, just imported already made photo image from anywhere into 3d prog like lightwave (prolly not even that more likely a wyswyg thing) and rendered the effect and put in a gross looking background. (tragic)

Definetly Poser and bryce.

Used bryce lightning or photoshop filter (ktp) for lightning and bryce for the water and sky backdrop. Poser for models. Didnt even render the models good anyway.

If your going to use Poser and Bryce at least try to make something creative, like a intresting scene with the models.

alright you'll tell me, each 3d app has sucky images made from them too - but poser and bryce are definitely the ones where ou can come up with a cool-jazzy-neat-stylish-3d image in less than a minute... In all the other proggies (dunno about terragen/ same purpose as bryce) you've got to look around and fiddle at first but rendering look like you did them - a touch of personnality...

now, if you are looking for images made by ironikart or 3d-iva or anyone else using 3d just look at the drawing section =)
