Anyway, in the tute where he is doing the lightsaber, he only shows that he practically drags the metal into his lightsaber, but when I do that, the part where I dragged the metal appears white:*(

Could anyone please help? But anways, thanks for giving me the chrome..=)

to get a nice chrome effect you need to play with the lights and
try to put an bitmap to the enviroment for the chrome to reflect

Turn down your lights and or change the reflectivity and ambience of your material. I order to achieve a really good looking metal you have to play with the small things. Normally I use a soft gray for my lighting color. Also I use the trackball lighting 2 in front 1 in back. Try puttin a nice gray to black to gray gradient in the environment. Also a good bitmap will do. You really want to watch the reflectivity and brightness and highlight size and strength/ Post the file you are working on and I can assist you.
