Cinema 4D is a 3D modeling program similar to 3D Studio Max. I've been using it for a couple months now and its great. You can see a sample of my work on this thread.

With any program....it's always hard in the beginning because you're trying to get use to the tools, but once you play around with it and practice, things will eventually make sense.

You can download a demo version at Maxon's site and if you like it then you can purchase it there. Here's the link. =)

maya used to be so powerful b4, its amazing how evrything simply fades out as new tech emerges

Tell me if I'm wrong, but I think that Maya is still the most powerful tool among everything you've mentionned so far.

yup, Maya is still pretty strong but lately a lot of the attention has been on Softimage. I heard that they made the Jurassic Park movies with that program.

OKAY I REMEMBER.....in a previous post I mention a free 3d software that is kinda cool. It is called blender 3d http://www.blender3d.org/

It is not bad considering it is free. I created something for my company using it (just to test it) and it actually appeared in a video game. (rayman)

*laughs*

Yeah, I'll just leach the demo's as long as I can. I don't have extra... thousands of dollars, I think you said. :o

How much did yours cost electrongeek?

Never mind, just checked out the site.
Yeah, I'd be well on my way to my dreamy AlienWare comp for that much, lol.

A friend mentioned something called BodyPaint? Cinema 4D bodypaint???
Anyone know what he's talking about?

EDIT: Why do I bother asking questions, I just found it. There's four options on which to download, electron, which do I get?

ANOTHER EDIT: I can't find out where to DL that blender thing from, I just keep going in circles on that site.
