E-Commerce Christmas party last night, and my head still hurts. You'll have to forgive me if I just sit here very quietly today...

Serioulsy, I'm completely drunk right now.. I'm suprised (sp?) I can even spel right now.. In a foreign language... and master my keyborad
Eilsoe, I know exactly how you feel... To be honest, I don't even remember getting the train home last night. And I'm pretty sure that last night I was having trouble talking in my own language, let alone a foreign one.

We need a hangover smilie. :)

The two quckest ways to toss a hangover are

1. Pound a beer when you first wake up
(not recomended, may cause the urge to pound another or severe alcoholism)

2. Alka-Selzer makes "moring relief" alka-zelzer tabs..... they work like a champ

Kit:

You were "over-served"

In USA, it is illegal for a bartender to "over-serve" a cust. He/she is then liable if the cust. gets in an accident on the way home from the pub...

BTW, vitamin B12 is the best hangover cure ever...

during the bubble, the e-parties were the best...

oooooh, I'm remembering being over-served... ooooooh,

Yep, B-12 is a hangover killer! Coconut water too (one fo the best), plain water (a lot).

Bout the smiley, we need all sorts of smiley, but hangover is top priority! :beam:

that is why I have graduated to Vodka over ice. No mixer, just a squeeze of fresh lime... Don't give me any of those drinks with that "hangover juice" in it...

I'm a coke-head, alcohol is a petty pain reliever. And no, I am not recommending anyone trying it, almost impossible to quit! Maybe that is why I am the raging forum member with a lack of temper :(

By coke-head I mean socially, I don't just sit at home doing this crap, it's usually with other people. Peer pressure and depression should be a crime!

Hopefully by coke you mean the soda.... because if not, I might be in the right mind to go over there and beat your ***!

How is that for peer pressure?

If your really a girl posing as lostinbeta as a conspiracy and your hot with a nice *** then you can come and beat me up any day. By the way, you being a secret girl is just a joke. And no, not the soda.....

that is definitely a side effect of that substance.

I found that I never had a better time on coke, but always wanted more (found out first hand in the '80s)...

me = no drugs and limited alcohol.

I have never gotten so drunk I threw up, or passed out, or got hung over... and my position on drugs is a strong no way I am 100% against drugs and smoking (cigarettes and the like)!

If I were your age today... I would probably be right there with you...

20 years ago was a different mindset... even the people on TV were "on drugs" (WKRP, Barney Miller, SNL, etc) .

today there is much more education... a good thing, I might add...

i hang out with a crowd that i see at lest 75% of them going on drugs in the near future, its sad. I hang out with a group of maybe 12. we all skate, so that alone is a factor for kids around here. 2 kids i know want to pull outta there image of being a 'skater', even teachers look down apon them. The want to go some where like me, the rest will be at home snorting crack and smoking joints all their life...sad really...

telekinesis
December 6th, 2002, 04:09 PM
Snorting crack, hahahahahahahah......sorry, just had to laugh at that :P

I know it's sad, how about you start and try to quit, good luck!

I've quit before, I just said it's really really hard to quit, it keeps on calling you back. Mostly because my last girlfriend was a coke head model for commercials like sprint, sketchers and so on. A lot of her model friends are like that, I guess they naturally need drugs to stay soo skinny. They are much different once you get to know them. Hope I never turn out that bad. :(

I've slowed down a lot after I broke up with her and got some less drug addicted friends. Peer pressure and being pissed off at family is my only reason to do it. Maybe after I move out when I'm 18 (about 5 months) I'll have to make some new friends and hopefully not need it anymore. You have to give me some credit, I went from about 5 lines a week to 3 lines a month! I probably shoudn't have told you guys any of this, but I feel I shouldn't have to hide anything from most of you because you hopefully all respect me as a flasher and not a person. But whatever, it's something that I deal with, so please don't try to lecture me on human values or crap like that!

I basically gave up all drugs about 2 year2 ago.

I used to eat mad E back in 98/99 and smoke an ounce of green to my head a week.

I never had a problem with drugs. I just like to do them....ALOT

I then landed a good job and started to grow up a bit.

Looking back on those days (only a couple of years ago) I thought the crowd I chilled with was the s*it. Funny how you see things in hindsight. People I was tight with and called my boys were really the kind of people that would steal you wallet and help you look for it.

I just drink now.......ALOT :)

I think you too dan will see what I am saying in a couple of years. You just have to get being a kid out of your system first.

Rip it up while you can man, just dont go too far.

Yes... I am not going to lecture you Dan... through personal experience I will instead say you will hopefully figure things out on your own in time.

not saying its not hard to quit dan, but like i feel that you guys are all part of my family, and i dont want any of you guys to get hurt. But yeah you did reduce by a lot, so congrats on that. While you at it, read the book SMACK, its about sex and drugs, and how they distroyed 2 teenagers lives, i focuses in on like hwo they got kick at first and then they got pregent, and just **** like that. Its not like 'dont do drugs' either, it teaches via experience. good read for anybody, highly recomend.

lol, just a pretty ironic statement.

My sister is a big coke head. But she has control of it, and her life. I'm not saying that its good, but she's an adult, she can do what she wants with her life. One side of my family is addicted to alcohol, and the other is addicted to weed. Seriously addicted. My father used to drink a lot, then one day he just said that he was going to stop, and that he would never drink again. That was 11 years ago. You have to have the will power and the desire to stop. Having something to be sober for always helps too...

lostinbeta
December 6th, 2002, 10:23 PM
Definitely. I agree with Jubba 100%. Seems he knows some of the same personal experiences I know.

I mainly stick to the herb and alcohol now... I basically got it all out of my system when I used to deal... having everything under the sun, in huge quantities around at all times can lead you to experience everything you would need to. :smirk:

Sometimes I wonder how my body took the quantities I would injest in just a few hours... wow. Hey, live and learn, I had fun and dont regret it - and occasionally I'll dip back to it a bit (just never to that extent)... ahhh drug induced memories, or lack there of.

Peace

I wouldnt say bad.... possibly unhealthy, illegal, but not inherintly bad - now if it leads you to do other "bad" things as a result then I'd say it was a bad thing to do.

I agree with your statement whole heartedly... might not be your bag, mine or the next person... but so long as it is all in fun and good times and steers clear of harming others, I say go for it. Keep it safe, and remember the few trillion brain cells you have, DONT GROW BACK! :P

But damn is it fun killin' 'em - what ever your method may be.

but I never did coke, crack, and anything that needs a nedle.
And I never did anything twice I was only experimenting, so, one time was good enough for me.

But I can´t say I´m drug free, I smoke plain cigarrets and drink (pretty much all drinks bu prefer beer), and they´re drugs you know, social drugs but drugs never the less.
And, to be honest, I do mj once or twice a year.

I´ll not lecture anyone, and Dan if someone shoud respect you, they should do this not for you flash abilities, but for your character. Doing coke doesn´t make you a bad person, doing bad things does. And man, I respect you. I don´t know you well, but the courage to post your truth here is something that must be credited for. I hope and believe that you will grow out of this, and overcome the need of it.

Never touched alcohol (except for doctor using rubbing alcohol) and no drugs. I don't drink and I don't intend to touch any alcohol except if it's in stuff like Dentyne Ice...Cooler Than Ice™. That's a gum but if you look on the back it has like .00002 percent alcohol. Not the regular drinking type though so it's all good :)

I still can't believe Dan is a coke person :( I looked up to you. You don't even know who I am but I did heh. Oh well life sucks.
