n my endless pursuit of making Flash more than just a simple animation on a site, I wanted to do something different with a simple animation that made some use of the advanced HTML technologies out there. I came up with this idea while creating a pre-loader for one my clients. See the example below of what I am trying to accomplish. First, open any flash animation that you created in the past. The file has to be a ".fla" file. Once you have the file opened, in Flash, go to File > Publish Settings. You should see a window that pops up with information and options relating to your movie. Now, select the tab marked "Formats". See image below: Under the Formats section, check the box that says "Windows Projector (.exe)". Now, all you have to do, is click on the "Publish" button on your right. When you go to the folder where you specified the animation to be published, you should see the ".exe" file along with any other formats that you have done. The only problem with this format, is that it takes up a lot of space. But when you are putting the animation on a CD-Rom 1 MB or 2 MB is not a bad size. n my endless pursuit of making Flash more than just a simple animation on a site, I wanted to do something different with a simple animation that made some use of the advanced HTML technologies out there.
