Have you ever wanted to draw yourself like so
many famous artists (ok,
maybe one that I can think of right now) have
done before? Probably not, but you can now with a
fun little contest we are holding from now until
March 27th.
Here are
the details that you need to know for entering:
- Submit an illustration of yourself. The
illustration must be a JPG or PNG, and it must
be either vectors or hand-drawn. You may draw on
paper, scan the image, and do any
post-production work as long as you don't use
any non-vector content in the process.
- Your illustration does not have to be
life-like or realistic. Caricatures are welcome!
Also, it doesn't have to be just of you. Feel
free to decorate with other things and people
and stuff.
- Once your masterpiece has been completed,
submit your entry to the
Draw Yourself forum with the subject being
your entry's title and the body of your thread
containing a preview or a link to your image.
- There is no size limit for the photos, so go
nuts. If you need a location to host your images
for free,
ImageShack may help.
- You can submit as many entries as you want.
Just make sure the entries are that of yourself
and not other people who may now want you to
draw them as well.
- As always, keep your entry decent and
appropriate. Avoid any offensive, violent, or
political themes in your design.
The
judging will be split into two rounds. In the first
round, a handful of judges will narrow all of the
entries into the Top 10. These Top 10 entries will
be placed into a public poll where everyone can vote
to select the Top 3.
All prizes
will be handed out via PayPal, so be sure you have
the ability to receive a payment via PayPal from the
United States. First place will receive $200,
second place will receive $150, and
third place will receive $100.
